Early Learning

What if every child had five years of education before they started school? In fact, they do. Children are born learning and from birth to age five, a child learns at a speed that is unmatched the rest of his or her life. Children who have nurturing, healthy and supportive experiences in their early years are much better prepared to succeed in school and life.

SUCCESS BY 6
Success By 6 is a United Way effort to make early childhood development a top priority in communities across the country. United Way of Thurston County is one of hundreds of groups working to ensure that, by the age of six, all children have the skills they need to succeed in school and in life.
