We are thrilled to introduce and warmly welcome Zach Davis-Price as our new Director of
Resource Development at United Way of Thurston County. With a diverse background spanning
various industries and a genuine passion for making a difference, Zach brings a unique blend of
skills, experience, and enthusiasm to our organization.
Zach's professional journey has taken him through a range of captivating roles. From serving as
the Production Manager for a dance competition company to working as a hospice chaplain,
Director of Content for a trivia company, and even a youth minister, his experiences have
shaped him into a versatile and well-rounded leader. Along the way, Zach has acquired valuable
expertise in marketing, sales, writing, and networking, all of which will be instrumental in
driving our resource development efforts.
What sets Zach apart is his engaged leadership style, coupled with a relational approach to
fundraising. He understands the importance of building meaningful connections and nurturing
partnerships to create a lasting impact in the community. With his optimistic outlook, humble
nature, and keen sense of humor, Zach embodies the spirit of collaboration and teamwork
that is at the heart of United Way's mission.
Born in Lakewood, Zach's adventurous spirit has taken him around the world, including living in
Germany and Japan. However, it seems that the Pacific Northwest has always called him back.
He proudly graduated from Washington State University with a degree in Social Science. Most
recently, Zach spent time in Wisconsin before returning to Washington in 2022 when his wife
accepted a position as a graduate school professor at St. Martins University.
Outside of his professional pursuits, Zach is a passionate guitarist and songwriter. He enjoys
savoring a good cup of coffee and immersing himself in the captivating world of Scandinavian
crime novels. When it comes to favorite things, Zach's love for pizza, admiration for the classic
movie The Goonies, and appreciation for the music of Counting Crows reveal his vibrant
personality. He also holds a special place in his heart for Halloween, embracing the spirit of
celebration and community connection.
Above all, Zach is driven by his desire to create tangible change in people's lives right here in
Thurston County. After navigating the challenges of the pandemic and working primarily online,
he felt a strong calling to reconnect with individuals and contribute to the betterment of our
community. United Way of Thurston County aligns perfectly with his strengths, values, and
aspirations.
